Why you need to align your body mind and soul?

Happiness is more of a spiritual practice than it is an emotional state. You can buy happiness for a short time, but cannot buy contentment with who you are and what you do.

To live happy for the rest of your life, you'll need to align your body, mind and soul which means that your actions are the reflection of your thoughts and your deep inner desire. Just in case if you are not in alignment, you'll not feel you are serving your purpose every day that you wake up.

I'm going to share how my deep desire stayed with me no matter how much I ignored it.

What did I want to do when I was a kid?

As soon as I was introduced to the English language when I was in 7th grade in Afghanistan, I wanted to become an English teacher. Why? Because I wanted to open the door to knowledge and information according to what’s happening in the world. My purpose was clear. I wanted to help people help themselves to live better and happier.

Then some things happened. I grew up, and life did not go according to my plans. I became a refugee when I was seventeen. This change was a shock to my system. I could not dream of anything anymore. I lost my identity, my purpose and just struggled to make ends meet in the foreign and unknown lands.

Even after I immigrated to the United States the struggle continued. Becoming a teacher in the USA requires at least six years of higher education, and I thought I was in no position to stop working and go to school, and made a list of excuses to stay in my comfort (or struggle) zone. For me, it was until I have a stable job, until I get a bigger house, until I buy my first car, until my kids are grown up, and then, I don’t have time, money or expertise and many more excuses.

Now I know, it is my own fault. I made excuses and I chose to keep doing what I was doing all this time.  Needlessly, I would tell myself that one day you can become a teacher. I would tell myself, “wait your time will come.” My actions, thoughts and desires were logical but in contrast to each other. AND it is exhausting to pretend to be content with what you do when you are not.

I am sure that I am not alone. If you are younger than I am and are doing what I was doing, please stop and listen to your heart. The whole world is there to help you become who you want to become. You are not alone and don’t have to do it alone. This is the part that I did not know.

What is stopping you from living the life of your dreams? What's your excuse?

Confession:

I did not have the spiritual maturity to understand the law of attraction, and did not have enough faith in the universe that it would help me if I held on to my dream and be honest with myself and hold myself accountable for achieving my dreams

Now, I have started to teach. Not the English language, but the lessons I have learned along the way to becoming a teacher. My childhood purpose was to help people help themselves. That is still valid. I teach meditation which is a form of helping people to help themselves. So I finally found a way to put my body, mind and soul in alignment. My actions are the reflections of what I think and what I desire in my heart.

It wasn’t easy to figure this out, but subconsciously, I was preparing for it all this time. I just did not know how to put them together. The idea of using YouTube to teach came to me when I was meditating. Then I was thinking about the content. What can I teach? After some thoughts, the answer was right there in front of me and clearly written on my purpose statement: creating a better and a happier life. I know for sure that for creating a happier life, you must have control over your thoughts and meditation is a way to do that. I have been a practicing yogi for the past two decades. If meditation has transformed my life, I know that it can do the same for others. This is how I came up with the content to teach mindful movement meditation and how to meditate for beginners classes. The rest is all easy technical stuff.

how can you can align your actions to your thoughts and your desires?

First, what you need to do spiritually…

  1. Get clarity of what you wanted for yourself when you were a child. How did you or do you want to change the world? Do not settle for the first things that come up to your thoughts. Ask yourself why again and again. Why do you want to do that? Until your heart says, “this is it. I was born to do this.” That's your answer. Meditation will definitely help you achieve clarity.

Then what you need to do mentally….

  1. Don’t wait for the right time. Get rid of your imaginary fear. Now is the right time to tell the world what you want to do and go about it. Don’t make excuses like I did. You’ll see that the help will appear if you persist. Ask yourself, what’s the worst that can happen?” Will you become homeless? Out of job? Out of money? What’s the solution to your worst case scenario and how to have your contingency plan ready for it. Help is available everywhere. You just need to ask for it.

And lastly, what you need to do physically…

  1. Once you have clarity of what you want and stop your mind from interfering, you'll have no problem to physically live the life of your dreams.

I hope this lesson gave you ONE idea towards building your happier life. Now, if you know someone who could benefit from this life lesson, please make sure to do your part and send them a link to this lesson.
