Fastest Way To Physical Happiness?
Yesterday, I went home in the afternoon with a light headache. The kind that felt like a mental overload of sitting in front of the screen all day. I hardly get headaches, but if and when that happens, I choose either to take a short 15-20 minutes nap, or to go out and walk. Yesterday, I chose to go for a fast walk instead because earlier in the day, it was raining and I couldn't go out for my regular walk.
Whenever I choose to move my body, even against my will sometimes, it creates more energy and raises my energy level. Although naps also takes care of minor pain and tiredness in my body, but it does not raises my energy level afterwards. By the time, I was done, I sat down on the beach and reflected on how my mood was changed from groggy to alert and alive.
So, the fastest way to physical happiness is moving your body. Pumping blood all over the body and oxygenating the brain is the best way to get rid of our normal sadness, tiredness, anxiousness and depression. You can choose anything from jumping on the spot on your bedroom to walking up and down the stairs, to dancing, walking, swimming, and anything that is your preferred physical activity outlet. Ten minutes of raising your heart beat, will do the job. You get energized and happy.
Fastest Way To Your Spiritual Happiness?
Having more physical activities in your life will bring more happiness to you, but you would not be able to maintain that level of energy and happiness if it does not come from within you. With that, I mean, I did cure my headache with a walk, and it did last for a few hours. If I was a depressed, sad or anxious person, I would go back to that feeling right after a couple of hours. Even if you push yourself consciously to be engaged in physical activities all day, you can burn out yourself but might not be able to access the happiness that is within you.
You already know that happiness is a mindset that you can choose to be happy when you want to, but it you'll have to have access to the source within you to pull it out in negative, down, sad or depressed moments of your life. So, the first thing to your spiritual happiness that you can maintain it all day and night long is to practice gratefulness. The appreciation of everything that you have at the present moment that supports your life is a big deal. The people around you, even the negative people, is a blessing to your life. The events in your day, even the negative events, touches you in a way that gives you blessing and teaches you a valuable lesson, your environment, even if you don't like it and did not create it, gives you a place to stay and be comfortable. All things as small as an atom to as big as the galaxies support life and supports you to be happy with your time on this earth. How you spend it, it's your choice.
Happiness is a learned skill, and it is not taught anywhere in our homes or schools. You already know that happiness does not come from outside sources; it's only within you and in your control. The good news is that you can learn to access it within yourself with practice and with open mindedness in no time; but the bad news is that it's not put on your priority to do list now.
